Library

“The more that you read, the more things you will know,
The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
Dr. Seuss, I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!

From the Librarian: Angela Marsden

The Library is open Monday to Thursday from 830am to 3pm. Parents are welcome to visit the library before school. (830am to 855am)

Scholastic Book Club and Book Fair are our two main fundraisers . The Book Club catalogue comes home approximately twice a term and you can either order books online or send your order to the school office. Books are delivered to school and will be sent home with your child.

The Scholastic Book Fair runs once a year, usually in February/March over two evenings to coincide with Goal Setting interviews. The school earns a commission on sales so your support of Book Club and Book Fair is invaluable.

Introducing the school librarian: My name is Angela and I have been a school librarian since 2008, coming to Tawa School in late 2010. I have four children of my own and one grandchild with another on the way! I love working with books and with children. A few of my favourite children’s authors are Dr Seuss, Mo Willems, Roald Dahl , Fleur Beale, Morris Gleitzman and David Walliams. My favourite genres are humour and biography.

Please feel free to pop into the library and introduce yourself. I can help with recommending books to encourage your children to read.
